Blackboard在線直播課堂上，溫肯法語(yǔ)老師Celine Doucet操著一口地道的法語(yǔ)正在為學(xué)生遠(yuǎn)程授課。這樣的場(chǎng)景一周她需要重復(fù)四次。

對(duì)于她而言， 雖然曾經(jīng)也借助PPT輔助教學(xué)，但是像這樣教學(xué)每個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)都依賴于網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)，還是頭一次。對(duì)于她來(lái)說(shuō)，也是一次全新的體驗(yàn)。

但是，她堅(jiān)信，網(wǎng)絡(luò)教學(xué)是未來(lái)的趨勢(shì)所在，沒(méi)有人能夠阻擋這種趨勢(shì)。所以，她更愿意持有一種積極的態(tài)度，去擁抱這種變化，并快速地適應(yīng)這種全新的教學(xué)環(huán)境。

“語(yǔ)言的學(xué)習(xí)很大程度上依賴于雙方的互動(dòng)。” 這也是線下課堂里她非常懷念的一點(diǎn)。但是，她也認(rèn)識(shí)到，網(wǎng)絡(luò)教學(xué)總體氛圍非常具有活力，她也考慮未來(lái)教學(xué)安排會(huì)更多的融入這些網(wǎng)絡(luò)因素。

缺乏面對(duì)面的溝通，要想抓住學(xué)生的注意力并且有效傳遞核心知識(shí)點(diǎn)非常具有挑戰(zhàn)。為了解決這個(gè)問(wèn)題，她著實(shí)費(fèi)了一番功夫，精心挑選、慎重考慮之后，她選用了一本非常有趣的法語(yǔ)教科書(shū)，根據(jù)課程的設(shè)置來(lái)安排在線課程。有時(shí)，她也會(huì)加入一些有趣的環(huán)節(jié)給同學(xué)帶去驚喜。

“一般，學(xué)生會(huì)就不同的話題上傳視頻或者音頻，這些話題一般都是與實(shí)際生活息息相關(guān)的?！彼嬖V我們，學(xué)生借用網(wǎng)絡(luò)輔助教學(xué)工具，呈現(xiàn)出非常喜人的進(jìn)步，甚至好過(guò)她的原有預(yù)期。

時(shí)間管理，合理的計(jì)劃，堅(jiān)持不懈的努力永遠(yuǎn)都是追求卓越的法寶。這些普世的品質(zhì)也同樣適用于學(xué)好在線課程。她鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生多加練習(xí)，繼續(xù)加油！

How is the Effect of French Online Instruction?

This is typical scene of Celine Doucet, a lecturer of French in WKU on Blackboard, who will repeat this process 4 times per week.

This is a fresh new experience for her, even though she used to employ PowerPoint as auxiliary tool to teaching, just as many her peers do before, however, this is a an absolutely brand new attempt which leverages digital power for every step of instruction.

It could be challenging sometimes, especially, as we see, French has unique signs such as à ? ê ? ?… which might be tough for students to get used to on Blackboard.

“Language learning depends tremendously on interaction, which is something that I missed in traditional classroom. But I also found the new teaching vibe is rather dynamic, which I think could be incorporated to my teaching arrangement in the future.”

“Usually, Students are asked to submit a video or audio in French on various topics related to daily life.” She told me, with the assistance of online teaching tools, students even presented a gratifying progress that she had not expected.”

Time-management, Good Plan and Persistence are the keys to excellence. Those universal qualities are also applicable to stand out on online courses. She encouraged students to keep practicing French and keep up good performance!
